Milwaukee, WI – September 23, 2011– In late July in Las Vegas, Black Oak Casino of Tuolumne, California was awarded four Romero Awards at the annual Raving Casino Marketing Conference in Las Vegas. Teuteberg Incorporated, a firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that develops and produces innovative casino marketing campaigns, assisted Black Oak in developing its award-winning campaigns.

Black Oak received a Diamond Award for its internal progressive jackpot machines that are integrated with a live ticker on its website, including an SMS text notification program for jackpot levels that was created by Teuteberg.
In addition, the casino's Gold Award was given for their new player and existing player sign-up program that operates in conjunction with their value-added media partners. Teuteberg developed this dynamic cross-media marketing strategy to help Black Oak not only acquire new players, but track them to the gaming floor. The resulting analytics separate existing players from new players and allow the casino to determine exactly where their marketing dollars are best spent. They can also categorize players in order to make more effective offers to each category.
"Prior to using Teuteberg, we had two different links for players to sign up, and only one of those links on our website was being monitored," says Dee Baldwin, Black Oak’s Marketing Media Coordinator. "It was also taking almost a week before an email got a response, and at that, the communication with the new guest was by direct mail only. Teuteberg’s program cleans and updates our email database, and it gets our new players directly into our system."
Teuteberg also assisted Black Oak in developing the program that won the casino a Silver Romero Award. "With Teuteberg's help, we ended up having a button on our website home page that allowed Players Club members to access their Personalized URL (PURL) by entering just their membership number and birthdate," Baldwin says. Prior to this program, the casino's older demographic found it difficult to input the long PURL characters without making mistakes. As a result, the casino received numerous phone calls asking for assistance.
