| USPS To Require NCOA Move Update For Standard Mail |
| USPS Sets Goal of Reducing Undeliverable Mail 50% by 2010 |

On November 23rd, the USPS will begin requiring that Standard Mail (STD), formerly known as BULK mail, meet new Move Update guidelines. This new requirement by the USPS means that mailers will need to take new steps in improving the address quality of their mailing lists.
Why is the USPS doing this? The new Move Update rule is intended to reduce the number of undeliverable mail pieces it processes each year. In 2006 alone, over 9.7 billion pieces of mail were sent out with addresses that could not be delivered. Those pieces cost the USPS an estimated $1.9 Billion to process, forward, return or destroy. The USPS has set a goal of reducing undeliverable mail 50% by the year 2010.
Specifically, the new rule states that an address list must be Move Updated every 95 days or that list will not qualify for STD or presort 1st Class mailing rates. For example, the postage for a STD rate letter is approximately $0.26 compared to the 1st Class Full Rate of $0.42. For many mailers, this difference in postage can add up to huge savings!

| The PS 6014 is a Certificate of Move Update Compliance. The form states that you are aware of the Move update regulation and that you are being compliant to the rule. Since Teuteberg is mailing pieces on your behalf, we are required to have you fill out the form and keep it on file. The form is good for one year. After a year we will ask for a new form to be filled out. |
